When this country was faced with an inevitable war, there came desperate politicians demanding very diplomatically that “Your Country Needs You” expecting every man and boy to do his duty and volunteer for the services and assist them in “Their Hour of Need”…and yet when it was all over, and the 5, 000, 000 war torn Heroes returned home they were faced with indifference and even hostility by top officials and politicians, right down to local town Mayors in some towns and cities.
The land that was to become fit for heroes never transpired, the men were left destitute, desperate, and dejected after what horror and terrors they had seen and been through. Their Heroic efforts, their Brave actions, their own Nightmares…were theirs to suffer until the end of their days…The country had rejected the men who had Won them “Their” War…!!!
But the Heroism that their Five sons Displayed in Battle…Sacrificing their Lives for the Cause of Freedom Would Not Be Forgotten.
May We Who Live Today Remember Those Millions That Were Killed in “The Great War” For the Freedom That We Now Live In.
More So…We Should Remember Julia Annie and William Souls, Who Endured So Much Suffering, Sorrow, and Heartache During Their Short Time on This Earth…With the Loss of Five Precious Sons…Albert…Frederick George…Walter Davis…Alfred Ernest…Arthur William.
NEVER Has Anyone Given So Much To The Honour of Their Country Than …The Souls Family…!!!
To the Descendants of Julia and William Souls that are Left Today…They Most Surely Will Remember Their Family with The Greatest Pride and Honour. As We Who Live in Freedom, Most Certainly Will...Given Loyally by those Heroes as the Souls Brothers…!!!
