Tai Chi is an Internal Martial Art and is beneficial in every day life and is inclusive to all.
Tai Chi can be Practiced regardless of age or ability. It enriches the mind and invigorates the body; it connects you with your innermost and deepest self – it is for mind, body and soul. Students comment how they have had their best nights sleep; or how their golf round has improved. Students doing Tennis and Archery comment how it helps with their focus, their stance and therefore their performance; this therefore applies to any sport or exercise. |

Students say how they feel more confident
through doing the Tai Chi. |

Ideally it is building up a skill and using the Tai Chi as a tool to help us every day. The body’s internal energy is able to move around so that the whole system becomes healthier. This is also encouraged by doing Standing Chi-Gung. In the East this was Practiced before doing external martial arts. It is by building the energy up; understanding the move and checking the stance that one is doing Tai Chi. Many students race through many forms and styles; but the wisdom is in the stillness.
Judy teaches Tai Chi and Chi Gung at the W I Hall in Edenbridge, on most Wednesday evenings. At present the beginners class and foundation form is at 7pm till 8pm. The more experienced class is at 8pm till 9pm. Jasmine tea is usually served. It is best to call first to check the class is on; particularly over holiday times. Judy also teaches in other areas. On a Thursday evening at St Agatha’s Hall, Hurst Green. 7.45pm till 9pm. Judy may be setting up a daytime class elsewhere.
Judy has been studying Tai Chi since 1997 and with Master John Ding since 2000. |
