The Falconhurst Estate is a 700 acre estate in a designated area of ‘outstanding natural beauty’ consisting of farmland and woods with a mixture of 30 Wealden farmhouses, Victorian cottages, farm buildings and a Cornish holiday home in Trevose.

Falconhurst is the place to go for that perfect country cottage as your home, weekend retreat or relaxing holiday break. Only one hour from London, Falconhurst is found in the small village of Markbeech near Edenbridge on the Kent/Sussex border. This is the cross-wing of a late medieval timber framed hall-house, of high quality, the rest of which was pulled down in 1833. It lies by a small stream in a woodland clearing and, curiously enough, is easily accessible by railway, since it is only a 15 minute walk through the wood from Cowden station.

The Hole still has the true feeling of the Weald and of the deep woods in whose drop and shade the forges and furnaces of the Sussex ironmasters were established. This despite the great storm of October 1987.
