for a rest. Its a good place to meet people, or just to relax
and be quite.

Bridges & Education
Part
of our remit is education, and from
time to time we run courses.
Recently these have included first Aid, Catering Hygeine and
Awareness of Child Abuse. Details of current courses from the
centre. we
now offer low-cost internet access for the public whenever we

We offer a wide range of Sandwiches plain or toasted Bacon Sandwiches, Salad,
Quiche and Salad, Beans on Toast, Meat Pie, Occassional 'Specials etc. Our prices are very reasonable.

Bridges Volunteer Centre
Bridges
is a volunteer project for the community set up by local people
after a public meeting in Autumn 1992. It is dependent on nearly
seventy volunteer staff, who contribute to decision making
through a management committee.
Finance has been raised from private, Charitable and commercial donors, including
some local businesses, and some community grants from town and district councils.
Over £70.000 has been raised and promised so far, leaving nearly £30.000
needed by September 1998 to secure the building for the permanent use of the
local community.
New volunteers to extend our opening hours and, of course additional donations
are always welcome.
