Edenbridge Primary School
The Primary School occupies a spacious, well equipped building in the centre of Edenbridge, surrounded by extensive and attractive grounds. It provides Nursery, Breakfast and After School Facilities, Holiday schemes and there is a Children’s Centre on site. There is a well equipped Computer Suite, where new computers and software were installed in 2012. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and computers. We have a well resourced Library, Music room, Main and Drama halls, Science and Technology lab and top class sports facilities.
“Pupils feel safe at school; they behave well and have good attitudes to learning. Staff create a positive and nurturing ethos and parents are very appreciative of this.” Ofsted May 2013

Musical and Sporting Opportunities
There is a strong musical tradition at the school and pupils have the chance to learn a variety of instruments, some in school and some available from visiting specialists, and to sing in the choir. All children are given regular opportunities to perform to an audience by way of class activities, assembly presentations, school musical productions and seasonal musical events.

There is a wide range of sporting activities, giving children many opportunities to participate in local inter-school tournaments. We also offer a large variety of clubs at lunchtime and after school. “Pupils enjoy the wealth of extra-curricular activities and are keen to make a positive contribution to the school and the wider community.” Ofsted May 2013

The Governors and the PTFA
“The headteacher, governing body and other senior leaders are united in their ambition to make the school outstanding”
“The governing body is knowledgeable about the school’s performance” “It both supports and robustly challenges school leaders in their shared drive to make the school outstanding.” Ofsted May 2013

The school is well supported by an extremely active Parent Teacher and Friends Association which organises a wide range of events, with the emphasis on fun and participation. Everyone is encouraged to become involved with the PTFA.

Dear Parents,
We have high expectations for all our children at Edenbridge Primary School.
We want them to be happy and successful, and we are committed to giving every individual child a chance to develop their talents, whatever they may be.
We are determined to help children achieve whether they are academic high flyers or those in need of a little more support. At the same time we offer opportunities for everyone to participate, and excel, in a diverse range of after school activities.
We believe that children should be given the chance to succeed in a secure and reassuring environment. Our aim is to help the children become selfconfident and independent individuals who respect themselves, others and the world in which they live.
We recognise and value the important role that parents play and see effective education as a partnership between home and school. We recognise that parents are children’s first and most important educators, and that the partnership between Home and School is key to a child’s happiness and success.
We create many opportunities for you to visit the school throughout the year and actively encourage your full participation in all aspects of school life.

Yours sincerely
Rosemary Addison
