If you're a young person in the Sevenoaks District and you want to have your say, Sally Potter is just the person you need to speak to.

Sally Potter joined Sevenoaks District Council in March as the new Youth Development Co-Ordinator. Coming from a long background of working with children and young people in lots of different settings, Sally is well equipped to deal with problems that the Districts youth may bring to her.

Sally's role will involve her supporting groups that work with young people, developing partnerships with other organisations, and responding to questions from young people. Sally feels that it is very important for young people to be actively involved in any decision making process that affects them.

Sally says "I am really looking forward to enabling young people to have a voice, helping them to become good at expressing their views and needs in a way that will get them heard."

Sally is currently involved in developing a youth plan based on extensive consultation with youth, and is looking forward getting to know young people from across the District. Sally, 46, lives in Tonbridge and is a mum to two young people.
