We are pleased to announce that after our very successful opening launch of our new exhibition” Edenbridge Town Band a celebration of 150 years” an exhibition of photographs, instruments and memorabilia is now on show at the Museum until the end of 2016.

Our exhibition “All the Worlds a stage” a light hearted exhibition of local people dressing up, come in and see if we have pictures of you or your family. Also have fun trying on a hats and take a selfie!

The above exhibition also has a special display of memorabilia from the acting days of the late Frank Thornton (Captain Peacock) of “Are You Being Served” fame and many more parts played by him during his career.

The Museum are holding a Christmas Coffee Morning Bring & Buy Event on Saturday the 26th November 10am to 12 noon. To raise funds for our Museum, please come along and buy homemade cakes ,books, toys, Bric a Brac , also the 2017 Museum Calendar will be available.

Our Museum shop has an interesting collection of books to buy all in connection with The Eden Valley.

Eden Valley Museum 2017 Programme of Events
New Exhibitions:
 
A successful open evening was held on the 31st January to showcase our new exhibitions “A Potted History of crested china” and “Digging up the Past the civil wat that split the Eden valley.
New for 2017, is a model of the Manor House of Delaware, also a map of Westerham & Eatonbridge Hundred dated 1797 – 1801

Free Guided Walks Around Historic Edenbridge

Explore historic Edenbridge. Walk along the old Roman Road and under the Old Crown Inn signboard, unique within Kent. Discover the stories of the buildings, industry and people of Edenbridge in days gone by.
The museum will be open afterwards.

Support the museum.

The museum is always keen to have new supporters either as volunteers or as members. One of the best ways to support the Eden Valley museum is by becoming a member. In addition to receiving the museum’s regular magazine, members are eligible for discounts on courses/talks/visits, receive invitations to exhibition previews and can get free help with local research.  Annual individual membership is £10, family membership £20 and under-18s can join for just £2.50.  If you are a taxpayer, gift aid rules mean that you can increase the value of your membership by 28% at no extra cost to you.
