WI EXHIBITION, 30 September– 19 December
A new guest exhibition at the Eden Valley Museum celebrates the 90th Anniversary of the Edenbridge Afternoon Women's Institute. The exhibition charts the start of the WI Movement from Stoney Creek in Canada in 1897, to its beginnings in Wales in 1915, and on to Edenbridge in 1919. The exhibition opens on Wednesday September 30 and will run until December 19. The museum is open on Wednesday and Friday from 2 to 4.30pm, Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm. BARN DANCE, Saturday 10 October
A Barn Dance organised by the Eden Valley Museum Trust is on Saturday October 10th from 7.30 to 11pm at Cowden Village Hall. Performing will be The Round House Folk with Bernard Oldfield. Tickets, £10 for adults and £5 for children, are now on sale at the Edenbridge Bookshop and the museum. Price includes a large ploughman’s platter for each table and there will be a licensed bar.
