The Rotary Club of Edenbridge Presents the
EDENBRIDGE TOWN FESTIVAL

Recreation Ground, Lingfield Road -
Bank Holiday Monday, 29th May 2006.

Following last year’s successful Festival THE ROTARY CLUB OF EDENBRIDGE is pleased to announce the return of the event for a further year.

Despite having to contend with terrible weather conditions, last year’s event was a most enjoyable day for all concerned.  There was a lot to learn about running such a venture and we learnt lots!!  This year’s Festival will benefit from that experience and our Club’s aim is to put on a day full of fun and entertainment for all age groups.  We hope to encourage more local people to take part to raise funds for their own Club or Charity.

This year will see a bigger and better selection of events and entertainment.

NEW ATTRACTIONS WILL INCLUDE

Kiddies Go-Karts, Cyril the Squirrel, Face Painting,
Supervised Toddlers Play Area, Bouncy Castle,

If  you are unable to attend, you can still support us by buying Raffle Tickets which will be available locally during April and May.  Last year’s raffle raised sufficient funds to enable us to make donations of £500 each to the League of  Friends of Edenbridge Hospital and the Kent Air Ambulance.

This year we will be supporting two local organisations, Care and Community Link.  Care, based in Hever Road, have recently built a new complex with a Day Centre and residences for people with learning difficulties. Edenbridge & District Community Link cares for the carers of the disabled and chronically ill.  Caring in the home is a very demanding role which generates enormous pressures and limits the opportunities of carers to have any life of their own.
