beautiful castle surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens,
started life just after the Norman conquest (1066) for 500 hundred
years it was the property of the crown, during which time it
was fortified and loved by various Kings and Queens.

Taking a trip
through the rooms and passage ways of the Castle will give you
a sense of the history of Leeds Castle spanning nearly a 1000
years. Starting in the Norman celler through the Medieval Queens
rooms, banqueting rooms and Chapel, then into the twentieth century
where you will see rooms decorated in the style of 18th century
France. Throughout you will see a rich collection of fine art,
tapestries, paintings, furniture, porcelain and many other historical
objects.
