Please report suspicious incidents

West Kent Police are asking residents of West Kent to report suspicious vehicles and people to the police following a rise in burglaries across the area.

Residents are being asked to ring the police to let them know of any suspicious events. The force’s control centre has been notified of this request and will deal with calls accordingly. Calls will be prioritised and those that indicate that a crime may be in progress will be dealt with immediately.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Very said: “We are not asking people to do our work for us but we know from previous experience that information from members of the public is very valuable in identifying and stopping criminals. I would also assure residents that we are constantly reviewing our tactics to make sure we are doing all we can to prevent burglaries from happening.”
