| As part of changes to their organisation in Kent the Victim Support service has relocated its administrative base for West Kent to offices in Maidstone.
It is hoped that the move will improve the service for the West Kent area by freeing time currently taken up on administrative tasks thus allowing volunteers to concentrate on helping the victims of crime. The volunteers who are specially trained to help the victims of crime will remain people who are local to the area and the former Tunbridge Wells base will be opened once a week as an outreach office.
Wendy Bartlett, Victim Support District Manager said: “We would love to hear from people who wish to join our existing team of volunteers in providing support for the victims of crime. Although this is not a paid position we provide very comprehensive training and pay volunteers’ expenses.
