Kent bus companies rally round to support Kent Police transport initiative

Bus companies from across Kent have agreed to provide Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and police officers free travel on their buses when required while on duty.

The initiative will provide a reassuring uniformed presence to members of the public who travel by bus and also help to reduce anti-social behaviour and criminal damage on the buses themselves.

The scheme will also help to reinforce communication with bus drivers who are often in the front line dealing with anti-social behaviour, and well placed to provide information on anti-social behaviour on public transport.
