Community
Officer |
| Edenbridge has a new Community Warden from this week in the shape of Richard Gordon. He has been appointed by partner organisations of the Edenbridge Community Warden Steering Group which funds the new post. These include the Town Council, which manages the role on behalf of the Group, also two local charities, housing associations, and the police. Together the Group contributes a jig-saw of funding to ensure there is a Warden role in the parish.
Richard has years of experience in commerce dealing with networks of clients and staff teams, and enjoys the outdoor environment in his personal life. These skills and interests will be useful in the role of Warden.
Of his new post, he says: “This role is important for Edenbridge and its surrounding area, and it is going to be a new start, both for me and for the town. I am very much looking forward to meeting people, listening to their concerns, and for them to get to know me. I am very excited at being given this opportunity look forward to making a difference and working in these lovely surroundings." Richard will be working four days a week on flexible hours including some evening and weekend work at times. |
