Food Standards Agency issues warning
The Food Standards Agency has issued a warning that a number of products have been found to contain Sudan IV, an illegal dye that can cause cancer.
They are the following:
Ghana UK Trade, Zomi Pure Palm Oil (Best Before September 2007,
batch number 004)
Mama's Own Pure Palm Oil (Best Before November 2005, 500 ml)
Mama's Pure Zomi Palm Oil (Best Before February 2005, 500 ml)
D'Ayele Dzomi Palm Oil (No Best Before date, 500ml)
African Sun Pure Zomi (Best Before December 2006, 1L)
African Sun Palm Oil (Best Before December 2005, 1L)
In addition to this, a brand of chorizo has been found to be contaminated with salmonella. This is the 200g size Alejandro Picante Chorizo Extra, batch code 384, Best Before end March 2005.
