Edenbridge to host own 'night of the living dead'
A scientific experiment goes horribly wrong, infection ravishes the population and zombies roam the earth - to find out what happens next make your way to the Edenbridge Centre on Thursday 21 October, where the premiere of the Edenbridge Youth Club's 20 minute film 'Ressurection' is being screened at 8pm.
The film was shot in Edenbridge earlier in the year by a group of 13 young people aged 15 to 17 who wrote, directed and produced the entire project.
Emily Robinson, Cultural Education and Outreach co-ordinator for Sevenoaks District and Kent County Councils, says: "I'm really looking forward to getting the chance to see the work of these talented young people who have put so much effort into the project."
The film is part of a project called 'Blingin', funded by Sevenoaks District Council and Kent County Council, that provides art activities for young people aged 12 to 25, giving them the opportunity to explore art forms of their choice. It runs throughout West Kent in partnership with Tonbridge & Malling, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Borough Councils and the Arts Council England South East and comprises a whole range of workshops and classes on everything from breakdancing to skateboarding.
Blingin' continues at the Edenbridge Youth Club on Monday 1 November with a special screenwriting workshop under the tutelage of professional writer Roy Apps.
The former Chairman Cllr Donald Spence will be present on the night.
