Edenbridge Local Office

Thursday 24 March 2005, will be the last day that Edenbridge Local Office will be open to the public. However, its key services will still continue to be provided in the town in partnership with other organisations.

The weekly planning and benefits service will still be provided in the town. Detailed arrangements for these services will be made available in the near future.

Black and clear refuse sacks and Garden Waste Collection Scheme sacks will still be available from Edenbridge Town Council's offices at Doggetts Barn.

Cllr Alison Cook, Leader of Sevenoaks District Council, says: "We are committed to providing local services in Edenbridge, which, in common with other councils, will seek to do through partnership working. We first pioneered this partnership approach in Swanley when our local office was successfully integrated with that of the Town Council and the Tourist and Information Centre. The initiative was welcomed by residents and by the Audit Commission as best practice. We are keen to establish a similar joint venture in Edenbridge."
