Planning for the future
Residents in Sevenoaks District are being asked for their views on local issues and facilities to help shape the Council's planning policies for the next 15 years.
Questionnaires are being sent to randomly selected households within the District from 7 February and residents are being urged to complete and return them to the Council.
The aim of the questionnaire is to help the Council in its process of preparing new planning policies as part the Local Development Framework that will replace the Local Plan in 2007.
The questionnaire covers a range of issues, including shopping facilities, housing, transport and future development.
Cllr Jill Davison, the Council's Cabinet member with responsibility for planning, says: "Local people have an opportunity to directly influence our future planning policies by taking part in this important survey."
Further consultation is being planned in the future to help all our sections of the local community involved in planning processes.
