Edenbridge residents can get on down to hip-hop dance sessions

Edenbridge residents of all ages will soon be able to join professional dancers when exciting new hip-hop dance classes come to the area.

Starting next month two hip-hop and R & B dance sessions, run by professional dancers, will be held in Edenbridge Leisure Centre each week.

An evening session will be held every Monday, starting on 8 May, from 6pm to 7pm for 11 to 18 year olds and a daytime session will be held every Tuesday starting on 9 May, from 10.30am to 11.30am, with a free creche.

Every session will run for 12 weeks at a discounted price of £2 per person, per week.

The weekly classes will be run by the EZ STEPZ Dance Team, which is already running successful dance classes in Swanley for teenagers, young parents and over 50s. The EZ STEPZ team features TV's Ryan Mullings who has performed as a support dancer on Fame Academy and providing backing vocals on X Factor.

Cllr Felicity Broomby, Sevenoaks District Council's Cabinet member with responsibility for Healthy Living, says: “These classes have been hugely popular elsewhere in the District as they give people of all ages and abilities the chance to get fit and have fun. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner, everyone is welcome to come along and give it a go.”

E Z STEPZ Dance is a part of the Healthy Edenbridge Network - local agencies working with the community to improve health and wellbeing.
