| The Kent Air Ambulance received an emergency call on Tuesday of this week, when a man aged 60 collapsed at the Edenbridge Leisure Centre in Station Road.
The helicopter was heard high above the town, with many residents rushing out of their homes to witness the spectacular sight of the descending air ambulance.
With all the flashing lights and sirens going on, coupled with the terrific sound of the helicopters engine roaring nearby, local residents explained, that it was a marvellous sight to see.
An ambulance also rushed to the scene at Stangrove Park, despite the air ambulance taking emergency measures by its presence there, the man was eventually taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells, in the ambulance by road.
One local man explained to me that when such an emergency as this is called for, the Kent Air Ambulance is always there within minutes to any and every emergency situation or serious accident
This clearly demonstrates the need for all of us to keep this excellent service available to all.The Kent Air Ambulance has a website that you can visit, and donations are always gratefully received, to keep this emergency service flying in the air. |
