This event runs 12noon - 4:00pm but there is an open air family service from the Eden Church in the park before hand, starting at 11:00am.
This event celebrates the anniversaries of the Stangrove and Spitals Cross estates in the town, completed 50 and 40 years ago respectively. Open to all, there are free activities and entertainment for the whole family including special workshops and things to play with.
Local clubs and groups including Edenbridge Children’s Centre, Kent Youth Service and Stangrove Area Community Action Group will be running stalls promoting their services and offering different fete style entertainments. The police and fire service will also be there.
Live music will be supplied by the Rockhouse Band who will be performing rock and roll hits from the 50s and 60s, plus DJ sets with modern hits throughout the day. Wild Wing Arts will be putting together a Play In A Day to be performed on the stage at the end of the day, all welcome to take part!
Dig out those flares and drainpipes! In keeping with the theme, a Fancy Dress competition will be held so don your best outfits from the 1950’s and 60’s - there will be prizes for the best dressed!
Members of the Edenbridge Youth Forum will be roving reporters on the day looking for interesting stories of lives in Edenbridge – if you have a tale to share please visit their stand on the day.
Why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the park - you may want a blanket or chair as well.
