Credit Crunch Hitting us All
Kent

With the never ending financial crisis hitting us all, we need to be aware of just how we can try and cope with spiralling costs, and the sudden financial effects that cause us so much worry and anxiety.

There are ways to cope with the situation that confront us every day as difficult as it may be, but don't despair good advice is out there for us all to benefit from.

One of the great successes is the Citizens Advice Bureaus, where its volunteers can help with your ongoing problems and give good sound advice, they are there to help and assist you in facing these dilemmas whatever it may be.

The Credit Crunch

As the situation doesn't seem to be getting any better, we all need to get to grips with our spending, and especially manage the debts that we have. It's easy to try and ignore the facing problems, but sooner or later the worry of it will oblige us to seek help.

All of us owe money, and when a bill drops through the door whether it be electric, water, gas bills  or whatever, then its time to seriously consider the options. These bills need to be paid, which in itself creates distress, but perhaps a phone call to those companies involved could well ease our problem. By explaining the situation clearly and honestly to them it may well give you an answer, how you may be able to pay the bill by other means.

Debts need to be paid as we all know, but priority to pay those like the mortgage and rent are essential as we could easily lose our homes, and the consequences of this could devastate a family.

Shop around for a better monthly mortgage payment, this could well save you thousands every year.

In the home we can all save our hard earned money, work out on a monthly basis what your expenses are, list each and every one down on paper, even those of little significance...remember every penny adds up.

Then work out the money you have coming in every month, compare it to the outgoings and there could well be some “extras” that you don't really need, this in itself could save a good amount of money after a period of time, and pay off some of the more important bills and debts.

With the ever increasing electricity and gas costs which amount to a very large sum over the annual period, try and find a new provider of these amenities, there are many different electric and gas companies out there that are making very good offers to reduce your yearly costs, shop around and find one that you can be sure will give you a good deal.

There are many different economic measures being offered today that will save us money in our home; install energy saving light bulbs, turn unwanted lights off, reduce the temperature of your water/immersion heater on the thermostat by a few degrees, turn down the heat on the central heating boiler, use less water in baths, showers, and in washing-up, forgo the use of the dishwasher this will save you many gallons of water, water the flowers and grass occasionally, if you wash your car, try using less buckets of water and not the hose pipe.

In today's age of computers where everyone seems to use one, and its not being used, turn it off, one computer alone left on day and night over a period of a year is estimated to use about £150 of electricity...and You are paying for all of this unnecessarily.

All this might seem not much at all, but in the long run it will add money to your budget, and far more importantly help you pay the big bills...far sooner.

Many websites run by local, national, and regional companies, councils, and organisations are there to assist you in any way they can.

Don't despair...advice is out there, spend some time in searching these out, especially those that you can benefit from, who can put the much needed money back in your pocket, and ease the worrying times of the credit crunch.
