| The Edenbridge festival got off to a flying start when it began on Saturday 23rd May, since then the continued amount of local events has proved successful in reaching out to the local residents and those further afield in supporting this great two week long event.
The sunny bank holiday has received a tremendous boost from those who are excited to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather with their families and enjoy the fun and festivities, this wonderful opportunity gives to those willing to participate and enjoy this moment of the early summer the chance to make some exciting new adventures in their lives, by participating in the two week events.
The community spirit has been shown by the residents who have enjoyed all the highlights that the festival is offering.
Considering the financial climate that we are all facing, many are saving their hard earned money and supporting events that are in their local community.
The ideal for everyone is of course to lay in the sunshine of a Foreign climate, but with the Euro being on par more or less with the pound sterling, it is far mores sensible to stay in England and enjoy the many benefits and pleasures that are here during this exciting time of the year.
The benefits that the town will receive from this are that the amount of people that will take advantage of the financial situation and will stay at home, finding the enjoyment and pleasure with their families, rather than spending excess money which they cannot really afford and sensibly stay in England.
With everyone giving their own support to the town and the festival, it is proving a great success.
From the first day of the opening of the festival, over £500 was raised in aid of the local St Peter & St Paul's church, such was the wonderful local support from the residents of the town of Edenbridge...a brilliant success, with-out doubt.
With the festivals highlights still in progress, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The festival also offers the local artists and those of the..Eden Valley Artists... their own motto “The Meaning of Life” has proved a great success, as it has been a favourite for many over the last week, enjoying the local artists who have had their own paintings in display.
The local representative of the E.V.A. Sarah Medway expressed her feelings by saying that it went extremely well with over 170 entries being submitted.
The event has certainly been a great success in Edenbridge and the surrounding areas.
The Kentish Horse at Mark Beech has had a great fun filled weekend of music from...The Travelling Folk and those supporting it with many differing types of open microphone sessions, truly a masterpiece of entertainment from the Kentish Horse.
