Local Resident Finds “Treasure”...!!!
Kent

To the many thousands who find great pleasure and excitement in browsing around second hand shops, car boot sales, and antique shops, in a hope of  finding the “treasure” of a lifetime, and some lucky people certainly do, as we have all seen on the T.V. Programme... The Antiques Roadshow...one very lucky resident of Edenbridge is set to make a fortune on a painting she bought in one of the towns second hand shops.

As Linda Culpin was searching through a multitude of items for sale in the local shop, unknown to her she didn't realise that she had stumbled upon a work of art,

mother and housewife Linda, hadn't even heard of the artist who had painted it, she simply liked the painting she had spotted, paid the seller £14.99p...and bought it.

On researching the artist on the internet when she got home, she was amazed she had found a”treasure” of artwork.

To her absolute pleasure, she found out that the watercolour painting she had paid such a minimal price for, was by the famous Isle of Man artist William Hoggatt, and worth a lot of money.

Now to her great delight the painting of this watercolour by the famous artist will be up for auction at Bonhams, on July 8th, with the expected valuation by auctioneers of reaching an exceptional price of between £1, 500 and £2, 000.

If there are any collectors of William Hoggatt's watercolours at the auction the painting could well reach a greater figure.

Linda is excited at the prospects of how much this work of art will be sold for, but whatever she eventually receives for it...it will certainly be far more than the £14.99p she paid for it...!!!
