A year of activities for 2010 is being organised for the town, and will present another town twinning event now in the planning stages between Edenbridge and the French town of Mont St Aignan.
The Edenbridge and District Twinning Association is planning to start the event with a walking weekend for all those who enjoy the pleasures of our beautiful countryside in and around Edenbridge.
Those who wish to participate are more than welcome to join the many other adventurers as this will also give all those who come along a great opportunity to meet our French neighbours from across the Channel, this will take place on Friday 23rd to Sunday 25 April.
The following event will be a chance to visit the twin town of Mont St Aignan by coach, this weekend trip is planned with some wonderful visits to the Fireman Museum and a special visit to a Chateau, as well as a visit during the weekend to Parc de Cleres, for those who wish to partake in this exciting weekend away, not only to enjoy the best food in the world but to see some of France's interesting places will be leaving Edenbridge on Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June, which will also coincide with the remembrance of the D-Day landings and parades that are held in France during this time.
From Friday 24th to Sunday 26th September, there will be a visit from members of the town of Mont St Aignan to Edenbridge, where the local twinning officials from both towns and friends will enjoy an excellent weekend together.
