The Famous "Costa Cafe"...Comes To Edenbridge

The famous and very old Grade II listed building - The White Horse Inn - which has been one of the most favourite inn's in Edenbridge as a public house for well over 100 years, is to change it's original famous past of selling beer...to very soon becoming a Costa Cafe.

This is a surprise as it was being developed to become a restaurant, but the new owners have decided that the building would fit well into the town as a newly refurbished coffee house.

Situated exactly in the middle of the High Street in the town, it will become a focal point as becoming well established as one of the main places where you can sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere with friends and family, there will also be a carpeted section in the famous old inn especially for mum's and their children.

It will boost employment in the town by offering about eight or more jobs for full and part-time staff, this will also hopefully bring in many interested tourists visiting the town from abroad, who wish to visit all the local places of historic interest and enjoy a well earned coffee at the same time.

Many of the old original oak beams and woodwork, with the white and black mosaic flooring will be kept, as well as the original fireplace, in an attempt to give it the "olde worlde" feel of cosiness and comfort, but to also give it the modern feel of the 21st century by a complete refurbishment of the walls and ceilings to keep it modernised in the only way that Costa Cafe...can do!

It will be a luxury for the people that visit the Costa Cafe to sit and enjoy the pleasure, as did many thousands that passed through it's doors in the last hundred years or more when it was the famous and comfortable -White Horse Inn...The Costa Cafe of the 21st century has now arrived in the town...please come and enjoy it...!!!
