The Edenbridge Rotary Club

“Service above Self”

Hello – I am Terry Farrington and this year I am proud to be the President of Edenbridge Rotary Club.

We are a registered charity, part of Rotary International which was formed over 100 years ago and now has 33,000 member clubs around the world.

The Edenbridge Rotary Club Service Above Self

Our own club meets weekly on Mondays at 6pm to enjoy a meal together at SELF Unlimited in Phillippines Close, Hever Road Edenbridge. After the meal we either hear from a speaker or conduct a little business of our own, with the meetings finishing by 8pm leaving the rest of the evening free.

We raise funds for a wide range of charities, local, National and International, and every other year we organise the hugely successful Edenbridge Rotary Festival. Each summer we host a free strawberry tea party for around 100 or more senior citizens, and in between we run dances, food stalls, street collections, walks, quizzes and numerous other fundraising and social events. Most recently, during this my Presidential year, we organised a sponsored swim at the Leisure Centre and have just handed over cheques each for £875 to Help for Heroes and Hospice in the Weald.

If you would like to know more about Edenbridge Rotary Club, how our club may help you or indeed, how you could apply to join us, please contact our Secretary, Rotarian Sue Main, on 01732 866848 or e-mail suemain1@btinternet.com
