Hospice in the weald shop opens in edenbridge |

The Hospice in the Weald has opened its latest fund raising shop in Edenbridge. The shop which is based in the high street will help the charity bring in vital funds for the Hospice. |

The shop was officially opened on Wednesday (30th April) by Peter Boulton, President of the Edenbridge Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Boulton was very happy to be asked to perform the opening, 'The Chamber of Commerce is really honoured to open the shop. The work done by the Hospice in the Weald is second to none, so many people benefit from the support the hospice gives them.' |

The Hospice in the Weald, based in Pembury offers care for people with life threatening and life limiting illnesses and their families across the Weald. There are Hospice in the Weald shops in towns across the area and the Edenbridge shop is the latest in that group.
Commenting on the opening of the shop John Ashelford Chief Executive of Hospice in the Weald said, 'We are delighted to open the shop in Edenbridge. We have been looking for a shop in Edenbridge for quite some time, and when this one came along we were thrilled and as you can see today there is a very good turnout, so I am delighted.' |

Lynda Pyle who is the manager of the shop was understandably excited at the opening of the shop, 'It is very exciting, we have been looking forward to it for a few weeks. The Hospice has a lot of support in the area, we have a lot of volunteers and I am really confident the shop will do well.'
The shop relies on donations from the public, and volunteers to staff the shop.
Judging by the turnout for the opening the Edenbridge shop will soon be contributing much needed funds to help the Hospice's work.
