Painting for Pleasure
The Edenbridge Painting for Pleasure Art Club meets two Fridays a month at
St Paulinas Church Centre, Marlpit Hill.

Edenbridgetown.com visited the group during one of their sessions to find out what the club is all about.
The group is very welcoming and friendly and when I arrived everyone was busy with their artistic endeavours, the work is very varied with many different artistic styles being used.
The group meets on the second and fourth Friday of the month and a local professional artist comes in once a month to offer expert tuition.
John Wright from Edenbridge who has been coming to the club for many years was full of praise for the club, ' I find the people here are extremely pleasant, we have a wide range of painting styles which I like as I don't concerntrate on one style.'
The club is very informal and members are encouraged to find their own level and to enjoy art for its own sake.
Sylvia from Edenbridge is a new member, she has been coming to the club for just one term, but she is already a big fan, she said ' I am interested in painting and drawing, this club is very informal you can just get on with your work.'
Everybody I spoke to was full of praise for the club and the work being produced is very impressive.
The club holds exhibitions and many of the members have shown work.
