Edenbridge and Mont Saint Aignan have been twinned since 1973 and there is a thriving exchange of visitors between the two towns.
As well as the long walk from Mont Saint Aignan the Twinning Association arranged a walk from Hever station to Penshurst on Saturday (12th April) which many local people were able to join in with.
"It was a wonderful way to spend a week! We not only shared the walk but all the experiences on the way." was how Marie Line Madec-Arrignon summed up the trip.
Councillor Mrs Jill Davidson chairman of the Town Council said, 'The walkers have arrived in one piece, they have shared experiences along the way, which is what twinning is all about and we are delighted to welcome them.' |
